VgLibrary.com
Updates 05.16.2012
I've almost got the forums wrapped up. I need to complete some visuals, correct posting redirects and reply & edits for existing posts.
Everything is in place for basic Video Game information. After I re add user's visual libraries ( of games ) and some additional profile options, I am going to drop on back fill for Soundtracks, Talent, Headers, HOR, screenshots... etc, etc.
After that forms need combed for encryption, and then I can finally drop a 'create new login' for users to start joining. Depending on how quick I receive users in, I may stop joining, so I use it as a beta test. Otherwise... Despite me needing to make certain parts of the site look better, we are on track :D

Thanks peeps.

Real quick... Changed mysql fields. Eliminated as many varchars in the database as possible, to increase efficiency and field characters.

Started back up on upload scripts for individual parts of site, e.g. Covers, headers... Also kicked back into the forums to get the ball rolling again here.

I also resurrected vgzine.com, which will have video game news only. I removed the side bar for more room on the article, and kicked out the header advertisement. Yay... Cheer!

EA FY13 Reports
With in Electronic Art's Fiscal Reports, the publisher has confirmed plans to continue supporting the following IPs, Madden NFL, FIFA, Sim City, Medal of Honor, Dead Space, and Need for Speed, in 2013. In addition it was stated that EA's 'The Old Republic," has garnered 1.3 million subscribers. And last but not least, Electronic arts is stating, "We intend to invest $80 million in Gen4 console development in fiscal 13." You can see the verbatim below.

"Next, I’d like to turn to our FY13 guidance. The key considerations for our FY13 plan, as it came together these past months, are these:

At the foundation is another year of blockbuster brands: Madden NFL, FIFA, Sim City, Medal of Honor, Dead Space, and Need for Speed as well as mobile hits like The Simpsons Tapped Out, and Bejeweled.

Versus my original expectations, we are pushing out one major packaged goods title. This is a function of our R&D investment priorities.

Star Wars: The Old Republic now has 1.3 million subscribers, with a much higher mix of ongoing credit card consumers, but on a lower absolute number of subs. The service is stable, profitable and we have strong plans to grow it in fiscal 13.

We intend to invest $80 million in Gen4...

Sol Trigger acquires Japnese release date.
Imageepoch's JRPG, Sol trigger, has finally acquried a Japanese street date. Sol Trigger appears to be Imageepoch's Magnum Opus for the PSP. Hopefully, we'll see an American lauch date, but I fear with the PSP's lifespan growing shorter, we will begin to miss more and more Japanese niche titles for the PSP. Sol Trigger will be releasing in Japan on August 30 of this year.

Yay! Admins can post news and updates again. In addition, for news articles related to video games, you can now upload a picture for it. I will have all these articles linked back to the original video game. In addition, I will have screenshot options available... around the corner.
The rest of the uploading options should be finished soon, along with additional options for news. e.g. sourcing all articles.
I apologize for the news posts below. They were solely intended to see if the uploaded picture would drop into the database as well. The sites that need sourced for the articles include psu.com and rpgfan.com. Check 'em out. They rock.
There were other asthetic changes, but more than I care to list. Thanks all.

Alright... A great many things have been changed. I have formatted the site to accept feature updates. Admin privs are not in place yet, but are around the corner.

All internal form processing no longer interferes with sessions for website auth. In addition, I have included some simple uploading options.

I have changed some visuals around the site, but nothing huge. In addition webmaster@vglibrary.com wasn't routing correctly, but this has been fixed. I apologize if you have previously sent anything to us through that email. It was not received. Please, if you want to be a reviewer for us, drop us a line. Check out the the review tab for more info.

Otherwise, due to my new job, things will be updated a lot quicker. Stay tuned :)
